Friend's design interests me very much! Probably because I'm an art student and have been extensively pushed to analyze visuals... Regardless! Primary colors coupled with pitch black is what initially caught my attention when I saw dear Friend for the first time (banger name choice btw). The primaries are generally reserved for "child's things" (like those big wooden block sets for small children) and are most often coupled with white (purity and lightness: Sunny Day Jack's design comes to mind), but using black (generally reserved for death or a bad omen) had me looking for Friend's origin pretty much immediately because it's a more unusual combination. Unusual enough that I can't really think of anyone/anything to compare it to off the top of my head!
That, and his golden, anime-yellow hair with cutesy hair clips coupled with his... well, his face. Cutie though he be, there's a disconnect between his presentation and his expressions. He looks somewhere between haunted and chronically exhausted. And it works!! It's the perfect line between "sweet tired lad" and "offputtingly creepy."
This is getting longer than intended, but the bottom line is!! I love looking at this game! And playing it was a blast!!!! And I am having a great time and cannot wait for more ! <33

I'm just gonna say this, I've played plenty of questionable dating simulators but this one has got to be the first I've had this strong of a physical reaction.
See Thru: Need a Friend? is an interesting experience to play through. I'm definitely going to be going through the rest of the endings at another time when I can, cos it's just fascinating to me how your own perception can change depending on how you interact with Friend.

I got all three endings and I gotta say, I enjoyed myself a lot more then I thought. it's a well fleshed out demo, and Friend is such a dreamboat! I'll definitely be going with the boyfriend route first haha
The only critique I have is the same as one of the comments below. Just a few changes in dialogue to make it more gender neutral, because it does feel like MC is a female even when you choose the male options.

I think the game is great! I like the story and characters! I will voice one critique which is with the writing of the mc.
I played male and female for it to compare, and I did notice that rather than leaning for a more gender neutral mc/mc interactions. It does feel like you've written this only with a female mc or an mc who only has female parts in mind which does kinda take from the experience if you're cis male or a noncis female player (especially for the nsfw scene). Some fixes for this could simply some slight changes to dialogue. Like in the nsfw scene instead of 'cum on my dick' it could be 'cum on me baby' another alteration could be adding a dress 'cool' option along with cute. These are just some suggestions to give it more of an inclusive feel for all genders/sexes! It's all good if you don't want to make changes like that, these are just some suggestions/critiques! Great vn other than that, I really enjoyed it.

Also for the driving scene, for the to images going between him opening his mouth and closing it, I noticed the whites of Friend's eyes for one only went up to the iris and the other it went past if that makes any sense.
Uwaa(*꒦ິ⌓꒦ີ) I enjoyed it. When I saw the figure above the bookshelf, I was like "Ooh, this guy look familiar like Alan holding hatchet." And when I clicked it, it really is! Lmao. I enjoyed the game, I hope we could see more about them like their back stories of how they met, why he's so obsessed and ya know. The aftermath:'3 I choose that thing last and holy cow. Thankfully I'm alone xD
UPDATE- I PLAYED IT YAHOOOOOOOOOO AFTER WAITING FOR SO LONG. I am nothing but glad I did. I really love Friend's layers. I really enjoyed his snapping out of his silly character. His longing was evident for the MC, but I am really curious about Friend's backstory...
Interesting concept of not being able to save or load. I really look forward to playing this demo.
